Anime Eyes Makeup!

Anime Eyes

Hello, feels like I've not been posting in ages. Sorry about that! I'm not sure why but whenever I stop doing makeup for a while, I decide to create something that isn't easy. It may look as if these eyes are easy to do but NO! Bloody hard. So yes, they aren't good and I've had to edit bits. I think it would have been best to create the look on someone else, instead of myself.

Well least I got to practice on my editing skills..
I'm not sure if it look's alright because I did it.. So help? Does it look okay? Maybe less edit?

I didn't really pay much attention to colour which now looking at these photos I think I should have.. I done this in all makeup products except from the white parts (face paint)

Pig Nose SFX

Pig Nose!

So I was trying to look for makeup looks on how to make a pig nose.. Random I know. I couldn't find a single one though! Well not a simple way. The outcome was really just a practice to see if I could create a pig nose with just latex and cotton wool. I wasn't really designing a full face look, I was going to but me being allergic to face paint, starting to get a sore face.

And because of this, I didn't get many good photos. I did though, try to make it very simple and easy-ish to do. Not sure if any ones every thought about making a pig nose but.. yeah here is my way anyway ha

So to start off I decided to make the end of the snout separate (Really wish I never though so maybe just make it all at once?) By doing this I took the back of a dolls head, you can use anything with a flat surface, I measured it by looking straight forward and middle of my pupils straight down..? Does that make sense? Sorry if it doesn't. I'm bad at explaining if you haven't noticed already haha. Then just roughly guessed the width.. you don't want it too far down from your nose and not to high up.. Such a bad explainer :|

Next step was building up the nose! With latex and cotton wool. I placed the snout shape I did on the tip of my nose which let my know where to place and build up the cotton wool.

Paint paint paint

Mine didn't really turn out THAT good but meh it was an experiment haha

Game of Thrones: White Walker

Game of Thrones: White Walker

I wanted to do this for a while but it's pretty difficult, I know I didn't get as many lines and detail that I should have but I had only little time to create this. Wish is no excuse but.. oh well. The white walkers amazed me with the detail and everything about them and since the beginning of Game of Thrones I had wanted to try do this similar look with makeup.

The products I used:
  • Snazaroo Black and White
  • Black Eye Shadow
  • Black Eye Pencil
  • Latex
  • Cotton balls

I also got to practice with using Photoshop with the background and changing the colour of my eyes which I think that I am proving on from just roughly two days haha I'm not really sure if I like this look, I think that I could have done more to it and think that someday I'll go back and recreate it.

Photoshop Edits 1.

Photoshop Edits 1.

I want to learn more about Photoshop and how to use it. I haven't a clue how to work anything except from maybe small bits like paint and the blur tool which I'm not great at using. I'm not making new makeup designs to practice on but using old photos that aren't connected with Special Effects makeup, just normal makeup. Just my normal face haha

Sorry if that sounds boring but I want to get better at it so I can start adding backgrounds ect to my Special Effects makeup designs. I will still be doing makeup though! Not just stopping for this haha

I didn't really do much today, I just tried to edit the eyes and then got carried away with the effects.. But here is some of them haha

Ignore the hair cut.. I'm outgrowing my Mohawk and oh god it's a nightmare. Hair colour is awesome though ;) Ha

SFX Cut on palm

SFX Cut on palm

Just trying out small cuts for practice with wax, not really gotten used to working with this product so going to be posting a few try outs with it. This is the Ben Nye Scar Wax, very tricky and sticky to work with but hopefully I'll learn how to get used to it.

Here's a few photos I done on my palm.. just found a perfect reference photo that I should have used but here is this one. Blending is my big problem! Difficult.

First Step: Taking some clay and rolling them into a thin long sausage shape.. and blending in the outer sides. I didn't do the inside as I wanted to have it like the skin is folding over.. if that makes sense

I took: Snazaroo - Bright red face paint and placed it inside the cut. You can pretty much use any red, face paint or lipstick

I tab my finger into the the Snazaroo - Bright red & Bright yellow to make a more swollen effect and little bruising but later on I wiped most of it off.. So I'm not really sure about this step haha

Close ups of the final piece, these haven't been edited as I did want to show how much more practice I need since this blog was made for me and others to look back and show the process I've made from start till now.

Day 2: Recreating an old design SFX

Day 2: Recreating an old design SFX

This has to be the most annoying part of this task! Trying to get the right colour to match my skin, the colour that I first created did work best but only on my laptop camera, my Canon EOS 1100D however did not agree. I'm using acrylic paint and have chosen about 10 different colours to try get it right and so far no luck, this is why I've not made the recreation of the old design yet..

(Considering making the face like this and no eyes/mouth)

Close up so far, not really that great but I'm still at the stage of getting the right colour. That is driving me up the wall not being able to get it right.

These are just photos to see if they are working right since I can't really see out of it, I need to take lots of photos just to make sure the design is going well.
